Use of CNG as an alternative fuel in the vehicle fleet of the selected company

Abstract:

Tématem této bakalářské práce je „Použití CNG jako alternativa ve vozidlovém parku vybrané společnosti.“ Za tímto účelem byla vybrána společnosti ČSAD AUTOBUSY České Budějovice a.s., která se věnuje provozování autobusové dopravy převážně na území Jihočeského kraje. Práce se zabývá možností nasazení vozidel s technologií CNG ve vozovém parku autobusů této společnosti a jejich ekonomickým přínosem. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí - z části teoreticko metodologické a části aplikační. Teoreticko metodologická část práce je věnována problematice zemního plynu jako paliva v dopravě a jednotlivým druhům osobní dopravy. Dále je zde stanoven výzkumný problém a metodika pro vypracování aplikační části práce. V aplikační části práce jsou na základě kriteriální analýzy vybrány autobusy s technologií CNG, které by mohly nahradit stávající autobusy vozového parku společnosti. Následně jsou tato vozidla komparována se svými dieselovými alternativami, jak z hlediska technického, tak z hlediska ekonomického. V další části je posuzována využitelnost současné sítě plnících stanic CNG a pomocí teorie grafů jsou stanoveny priority pro výstavbu stanic nových. Na základě získaných výstupů jsou poté navrhnuta doporučení pro zavádění CNG vozidel u dané společnosti.

Abstract:

The topic of this bachelor thesis is “Using CNG as an alternative vehicle fleet in selected company.” For this thesis has been selected company ČSAD AUTOBUSY České Budějovice a.s., which is focused on public transport bus service, mostly in the South Bohemian Region. The thesis deals with the possibility of deploying vehicles with the technology of CNG in the vehicle fleet of the company and their economical benefit. The thesis consists of two parts. Of theoretical methodological part and application part. Theoretical methodological part is focused to the issue of natural gas as a fuel for transportation and individual types of public transport. Also, there is established a research problem and methodology for developing the application part. In the application part of the thesis is, based on the criteria analysis, chosen buses with CNG technology, which could replace the current fleet of buses. Subsequently, these vehicles are compared with its Diesel alternatives, both in technical and economic terms. In the next section is considered the possibility of using current network of CNG filling stations and using graph theory sets priorities for the construction of new stations. On the basis of outcomes are than proposed recommendations of introductions of CNG vehicles for the company.
