Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou kongresového cestovního ruchu v Praze. Součástí obsahu je stručný přehled důležitých pojmů a seznámení s funkcí významných asociací a organizací působících na národním i mezinárodním poli. Analytická část komparuje Kongresové centrum Praha s vybranými evropskými kongresovými centry v Dublinu, Vídni, Paříži, Amsterdamu a Kodani. Srovnání probíhá na základě předem stanovených kritérií, mezi které patří například informace o hotelích a počtu lůžek dostupných v docházkové vzdálenosti, obsah internetových stránek, struktura poskytovaných služeb a akcí konaných v daném zařízení. Velký důraz je kladen především na analýzu obsahu a kvality webové prezentace. Součástí práce je i vlastní výzkum, který zkoumá názory nezávislých respondentů a poukazuje na atraktivitu jednotlivých webových prezentací i na důležitost některých služeb. Práce zdůrazňuje aktuální potřeby trhu se zaměřením na digitální a on-line marketing. Diplomová práce poskytuje některá doporučení a návrhy na vylepšení situace v Kongresovém centru Praha tak, aby mohlo konkurovat ostatním významným centrům a poskytovalo evropský standard.

Abstract:

This master´s dissertation analyzes the congress tourism in Prague. It contains of a brief overview of terminology using in the industry and shows main functions of national and international associations and organizations. The analytical part compares The Prague Congress Centre with selected European convention centres in Dublin, Vienna, Paris, Amsterdam and Copenhagen. The comparison is based on predetermined criteria. For example information about hotels and available number of beds in a walking distance, content of websites, structure of provided services and events organized in particular venues. Great emphasis is placed on analysis of content and quality of official websites. Part of the dissertation is also its own research which examines opinions of independent responders and focuses on the importance of providing services. It emphasizes the current market needs and specializing on digital and on-line marketing. Master´s dissertation provides recommendations and suggestions for improving the situation in The Convention Centre Prague, so it can compete other major convention centres and provide the European standard of services.
