Interpretation analysis of Missa Pastoralis by Josef Schreier

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na rozbor skladby Missa pastoralis in C boemica Josefa Schreiera. Stěžejním zájmem práce je přiblížit osobnost skladatele této mše a poukázat na výjimečné dílo tohoto dosud méně známého moravského kantora. Dále je v této práci představena mše z hlediska hudební formy, její typy se zaměřením na typ pastorální mše. Závěrečná kapitola práce je věnována historii a současnosti Chrámového sboru z Valašské Bystřice, který tuto pastorální mši Josefa Schreiera interpretoval.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the analysis of Josef Schreier's Missa pastoralis in C boemica. The main interest of the thesis is to present the personality of the composer of this mass and to point out the exceptional work of the hitherto less known Moravian cantor. Furthermore, this thesis presents the mass in terms of its musical form and its types, with a focus on the type of pastoral mass. The final chapter of the work is devoted to the history and present of the Temple Choir from Valašská Bystřice, which interpreted this pastoral mass by Josef Schreier.
