Integrating women after maternity and parental leave into the labour market in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je začleňování žen po mateřské a rodičovské dovolené na trh práce a dále přiblížení úlohy institucí veřejné správy a státní intervence v rámci proaktivní rodinné politiky, která souvisí se zaměstnaností žen po mateřské a rodičovské dovolené. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na platnou legislativu, dále je věnována pozornost postavení žen na českém trhu práce a návratu žen z mateřské a rodičovské dovolené. Výzkumná část práce je zaměřena na návrat žen – matek po mateřské a rodičovské dovolené zpět do práce, na překážky, se kterými se potýkají a jaké kariérní a profesní i ekonomické dopady výpadku ze zaměstnání. Výsledkem diplomové práce je vyhodnocení sociálních a ekonomických faktorů, které dominují ze strany žen – matek při návratu na trh práce. V diplomové práci byly využity metody kvantitativní obsahové analýzy, deskripce, syntéze, komparace a metody dotazování technikou dotazníku.

Abstract:

The aim of the diploma thesis is the integration of women after maternity and parental leave into the labor market and also to bring closer the role of public administration institutions and state intervention within the framework of proactive family policy, which is related to the employment of women after maternity and parental leave. The theoretical part focuses on valid legislation, attention is also paid to the position of women on the Czech labor market and the return of women from maternity and parental leave. The research part of the work is focused on the return of women - mothers after maternity and parental leave back to work, on the obstacles they face and the career, professional and economic consequences of the absence from work. The result of the thesis is an evaluation of the social and economic factors that dominate on the part of women - mothers when returning to the labor market. The diploma thesis used the methods of quantitative content analysis, description, synthesis, comparison and methods of questioning using the questionnaire technique.
