Detection of parameters describing shape of T wave in ECG signals and basic analysis of properties of the parameters

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci se zabýváme hledáním vhodných parametrů schopných popsat repolarizační fázi srdce na záznamu elektrokardiogramu (EKG). Především se zaměřujeme na otázku, zda parametry T vlny mohou nést informaci o repolarizaci při dynamických změnách srdeční frekvence. V kapitolách teoretické části je přiblížena elektrická činnost srdce a princip jejího zaznamenání. Nadále základní popis EKG křivky na získaném záznamu, některé problémy spojené s měřením repolarizačních dějů a popis vlastností, které by měly splňovat hledané parametry. V praktické části je vybráno několik parametrů T vlny a naměření jejich hodnot na průběhu zátěžového EKG záznamu pomocí počítačových algoritmů. Nadále se v práci zaobíráme nepřesnostmi v detekci a určením mezí naměřených hodnot. Závěrem je vypočítána výpovědní hodnota jednotlivých parametrů pomocí korelace s intervaly RR, odpovídající časovým délkám srdečních cyklů.

Abstract:

In this thesis we deal with founding suitable parametres which would be able to describe a repolarization phase of heart in electrocardiographic record. We especially focus on question, if the parameters of T wave could shows information about the repolarization, during dynamical changes of heart frequency. In the theoretical part an electric activity of the heart is described along with a principle of its recording. There is also included the basic description of ECG curve, some problems which are linked to metering the repolarization processes and description of properties which the parameters should have. In the practical part, a few parameters of the T wave were chosen and their values were measured, during a stress ECG test, by computer algorithms. Furthermore the inexactness in detection and limits of measured values are stated. In the end, the predictive value of single parameters was computed through the use of correlation with RR intervals which correspond to time length of heart cycles.
