Abstract:
This thesis presents an analysis of the key concept of Aristotle's philosophy, the concept of οὐσία. In the first chapter this concept is set in the context of Aristotle's Categories, in the second chapter its role in Aristotle's Metaphysics is thoroughly investigated.
