Toni Morrison is the author of many novels, but only three of them are analyzed in this thesis. They include The Bluest Eye (1970), Tar Baby (1981), and Song of Solomon (1977). These novels represent the issues of class distinction among African American people and their individual characters represent different life-styles, personalities and destinies.
