Cereblon in pathogenesis of hematological malignancies
Abstract:
In this thesis, I focus on cereblon (CRBN), a protein, that plays an important role as a primary target of immunomodulatory drugs. Immunomodulatory drugs - thalidomide and it´s derivates are used as efficient therapy mainly in the treatment of multiple myeloma, the malignancy of plasma cells, which are accumulated in the bone marrow. V svojej bakalárskej práci sa venujem problematike cereblonu (CRBN), proteínu, ktorý v súčasnosti zastáva dôležitú úlohu ako primárny cieľ imunomodulačných liekov. Imunomodulačné lieky - talidomid a jeho deriváty sa používajú ako účinná terapia hlavne pri liečbe mnohopočetného myelómu, nádorového ochorenia plazmatických buniek akumulujúcich sa v kostnej dreni.
