Digitization in accounting and its opportunities for companies

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem digitalizace v oblasti účetnictví. Cílem práce je shrnout teoretické poznatky ohledně minulého vývoje, aktuálního stavu a budoucího vývoje digitalizace. Následně si klade za cíl analyzovat využití digitálních prostředků ve zvoleném podniku, a na základě analýzy pak navrhnout možnou optimalizaci. V teoretické části se autor zaměřuje na historické formy vedení účetnictví, legislativní požadavky na elektronické doklady, často využívané digitální nástroje a v poslední kapitole na možný budoucí vývoj prostředků a technologií. V praktické části se pak provádí samotná analýza programů, které se využívají v konkrétním podniku. Na základě ní autor navrhuje tři možné varianty optimalizace, které na závěr zhodnotí. Nakonec se ukáže být vhodný pouze jeden z návrhů, který se doporučí implementovat.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the topic of digitalization in the field of accounting. The aim of the thesis is to summarize the theoretical knowledge regarding the past development, current status and future development of digitalization. Subsequently, it aims to analyze the use of digital means in a selected company and, based on the analysis, to propose a possible optimization. In the theoretical part, the author focuses on historical forms of accounting, legislative requirements for electronic documents, frequently used digital tools, and in the last chapter on possible future developments of tools and technologies. In the practical part, the actual analysis of the programs used in a particular company is then made. On the basis of this, the author suggests three possible solutions for optimization, which are evaluated at the end. In the end, only one of the suggestions proves to be suitable and is recommended for implementation.
