Financial literacy level in the selected country

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je věnována tématu finanční gramotnosti. Cílem práce je zhodnotit znalosti a dovednosti lidí v oblasti finanční gramotnosti. Dílčím cílem bude zjištění, jakým způsobem lidé získávají informace a jak je dokáží aplikovat v praxi. První část práce definuje pojem a uvádí, čím se finanční gramotnost liší od finančního vzdělávání. Druhá část práce se zaměřuje na analýzu výsledku primárního výzkumu, provedeného formou online anketního šetření. Na základě názorů respondentů z Ukrajiny a České republiky jsou porovnány dovednosti a znalosti lidí z různých demografických skupin v oblasti finanční gramotnosti. Dále je provedeno srovnání indexů finanční gramotnosti ve dvou zemích pomocí dat OECD s výsledky primárního výzkumu. Na základě výsledků průzkumu o způsobech získávání informací ve finanční oblasti lze vytvořit doporučení pro vhodné způsoby zvýšení finanční gramotnosti lidí ve vybraných zemích.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is devoted to the topic of financial literacy. The aim of the work is to evaluate the knowledge and skills of people in the field of financial literacy and to further find out how they obtain information and how they can apply it in practice. The first part of the thesis contains the characteristics of the term and states how financial literacy differs from financial education. The second part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of the results of the primary research, conducted in the form of an online survey. Based on the opinions of respondents from Ukraine and the Czech Republic, the skills and knowledge of people from different demographic groups in the field of financial literacy are compared. Furthermore, a comparison of financial literacy indices in two countries is made using OECD data and the results of primary research. Based on the results of the survey on ways of obtaining information in the financial area, recommendations can be made for appropriate ways of increasing the financial literacy of people in selected countries.
