Radio feature

Abstract:

Ve své práci se zabývám žánrem rozhlasového feature. V první části zkoumám jeho historii, jak se odvíjela od 20. let 20. století v etapách „featured programmes“, obrozeného německého pásma a akustického filmu. Zkoumám feature jako specifickou pracovní metodu rozhlasové tvorby i jako svébytný žánr. Hledám odpověď na otázku, čím se feature liší od ostatních žánrů. V krátkosti nastiňuji současnost české i světlové tvorby feature. Ve druhé části podávám reflexi svého vlastního rozhlasového feature Luisa Nováková: A potají. Sleduji jeho technickou přípravu, samotné natáčení a následnou úpravu materiálu. Práci uzavírám charakteristikou feature jakožto pracovní metody i svébytného žánru. Délka feature je 22 minut 53 sekund. Práce obsahuje 45 stran.

Abstract:

In my work, I examine the genre of radio feature. In the first part, I search its history from its beginning in the first decades of 20th century and its changing from BBC “featured programmes” to renewed German radio sequence (“pasmo”) and acoustic film. I examine feature both as a method and as a genre. I seek to answer the question, in what ways feature differs from other radio genres. I shortly describe the present situation in Czech and world feature production. In the second part, I give a reflexion of my own radio feature Luisa Novakova: And silently. I outline its making preparations, recording, and postproduction. In the end, I summarize the characteristics of feature both as a specific method and as a genre. The length of radio feature is 22 minutes 53 seconds. The textual part involves 45 pages.
