Sprint Hero - Single Contact Point to Help Agile Teams Cope with Organizational Stress

Abstract:

Táto práca predstavuje teoretický prehľad vplyvu organizačného stresu na efektivitu komunikácie a výkon Agilného tímu v IT spoločnosti so zameraním na koncept kontaktného bodu zodpovedného za komunikáciu s cieľom zmiernenia zaťaženia tímu. Následne predstavuje koncept novej tímovej roly a konkrétnu implementáciu roly zvanej Sprint Hero ako hlavného kontaktného bodu pre vyrušenia tímu spolu s jeho definíciou, popisom povinností, prehľadom odlišností v implementácii medzi tímami, a odporúčaní pre efektívnu implementáciu konceptu. Zároveň navrhuje implementačný manuál, ktorý zhŕňa základné kroky implementačného procesu daného konceptu a zároveň generalizuje dané kroky pre využitie v iných, nielen Agilných, spoločnostiach.

Abstract:

This thesis presents a theoretical overview of the impact of organisational stress on communication effectiveness and Agile team performance in an IT company, focusing on the concept of single contact point responsible for communication to mitigate the pressure on the team. It introduces the concept of a new team role and an actual implementation of a role called Sprint Hero as the primary point of contact for team distractions, along with its definition, a description of its responsibilities, an overview of the differences in implementation between teams, and recommendations for effective implementation of the concept. Furthermore, it outlines an implementation guide that summarises the essential steps of the implementation process of the concept and also generalises the given steps to be used in other, not only Agile, companies.
