Group integration of pupils with mental disability in elementary school

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá skupinovou integrací žáků s mentálním postižením na základní škole určené dětem se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. První se zabývá teoretickými východisky diplomové práce. Objasňuje pojmy mentální postižení, integrace a inkluze, klima školy a třídy, nastiňuje legislativu vzdělávání žáků se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami. Druhá kapitola je věnována osobnosti dítěte s mentálním postižením. Jsou v ní popsány intelektové poznávací funkce, emoce a volní vlastnosti, adaptabilita a sociabilita a závěrem i výchova a rozvoj osobnosti dítěte. Ve třetí kapitole je popsána edukace žáků s mentálním postižením. Kapitola představuje možnosti vzdělávání těchto žáků a zásady výchovně vzdělávací práce. Zabývá se také volným časem a zájmovou činností a více přibližuje problematiku školské integrace. Čtvrtá kapitola je věnována výzkumnému šetření. Obsahuje kazuistiky žáků, přibližuje průběh a podmínky skupinové integrace žáků s mentálním postižením. Nabízí i rozhovory s pedagogickými pracovníky.

Abstract:

The diploma project deals with a group integration of children with mental handicap at a primary school designated for children with special needs. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter focuses on the theoretical part of the thesis. It explains key concepts such as mental disability, integration and inclusion, school and class climate, legislation. The second chapter deals with the personality of a child with mental handicap. It describes intellectual cognitive functioning, emotions and volitional characteristics, adaptability and sociability and also education and development of child’s personality. Education of children with mental handicap is described in the third chapter. This chapter presents ways of educating the children and its principles. It also focuses on their leisure time and school integration more in-depth. The fourth chapter is the practical part of the thesis. It contains case histories of students, deals with the development and conditions of group integration of children with mental handicap. Interviews with teachers are also included.
