Use of leaf nutrition with boron in the cultivation of sugar beet

Abstract:

Tato práce je se zabývá výživou a hnojením cukrové řepy. První částí je literární přehled zaměřený na pěstování cukrové řepy a přednostně na zásady její výživy. Specializací práce je bór, je popsána jeho funkce a význam v rostlině cukrové řepy a možnosti jeho využití při hnojení na list podle výsledků publikovaných výzkumů jiných autorů.Praktická část práce se zabývá listovou aplikací dvou odlišných forem bóru, dvou různých hnojiv. A srovnáním výsledků výnosu a cukernatosti bulev cukrovky z experimentálního zkoušení.Data ze sledování byla porovnána metodou vícefaktorové analýzy variance (ANOVA) s následným testováním pomocí LSD testu dle Fischera. Data byla zpracována v programu STATISTICA 12. Průkazně vyššího výnosu v porovnání s kontrolní variantou bylo dosaženo aplikací organicky vázaného bóru v celkové dávce 1050 g.ha-1 a aplikací borethanolaminu v dávce odpovídající 750 g.ha-1 B.Listová aplikace bóru měla v experimentu pozitivní vliv na zvýšení výnosu bulev cukrové řepy. Další sledované parametry nebyly aplikací bóru významně ovlivněny. Na základě výsledků nelze vyvodit objektivní závěr vzhledem k jednoletému zkoušení na jedné lokalitě. Lze však zkonstatovat průběh sledování a vyhodnotit výsledky zkoušení.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the topic of nourishment and fertilization of sugar beet. First part is an overview thematically focused on the cultivation of sugar beet, mainly on the principles of its nutrition. Specialization of the work is boron, its function and importance in sugar beet plants and possibilities of its use in folia r fertilization according to the results of published research by other authors are described.The practical part of the thesis deals with the foliar application of two different forms of boron, two different fertilizers. And by comparing the results of the yield and sugar content of sugar beet tubers from experimental testing.Monitoring data were compared by multi-factor analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by testing using the Fischer LSD test. The data were processed in the STATISTICA 12 program.Significantly higher yield compared to the control variant was achieved by application of organically bound boron in a total dose of 1050 g.ha-1 and application of borethanolamine in a dose corresponding to 750 g.ha-1 B.In the experiment, foliar application of boron had a positive effect on increasing the yield of sugar beet tubers. Other monitored parameters were not significantly affected by boron application.Based on the results, no objective conclusion can be drawn due to one-year testing at one location alone. However, it is possible to record the course of monitoring and evaluate the test results.
