International trade in related commodities beer, malt and hops

Abstract:

Bakalářské práce popisuje a analyzuje vývoj vývozu spřízněných komodit sladu, chmele a piva v České republice a hodnotí postavení České republiky v těchto komoditách na zahraničních trzích. První část této práce stručně informuje o některých teoretických principech mezinárodního obchodu a mezinárodní obchodní politiky a o ekonomických teoriích nabídky a poptávky po komoditách, respektive po skupinách komodit. V dalších třech kapitolách je analyzován vývoj vývozu těchto komodit ve vztahu k jejich produkci a vývoj vývozu na zahraničních trzích. Vývozu do vybraných zemí, které jsou významnými importéry těchto komodit, je věnována větší pozornost. Následně jsou analyzovány vztahy mezi těmito třemi komoditami navzájem za účelem nalezení vztahů mezi nimi s pomocí vhodných statistických metod. Závěrečné shrnutí sumarizuje významné poznatky z praktických kapitol. Výsledkem práce je ucelený ekonomický přehled o výrobě a vývozu sladu, chmele a piva a prokázání vztahů mezi těmito komoditami.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis describes and analyses the situation in export of related commodities beer, malt and hops in the Czech Republic and sizes up a Czech Republic’s position in these commodities on foreign markets. First part of this bachelor thesis gives a brief introduction into some theoretical principles of international trade and international trade policy and furthermore it deals with economic theories of supply and demand for commodities, correspondingly for a group of commodities. Next three chapters analyze the trend of export of those commodities and its production and then its export to the foreign markets. More attention is given to export to selected countries which are significant importers of these commodities. Consequently there are analyses of these three commodities mutually in order to find existences of dependences between them using eligible statistical methods. The conclusion summarizes the key findings of practical chapters. The result of this bachelor thesis is comprehensive economic survey of production and export of malt, hops and beer and finding the relations between these commodities.
