Lithography in advertising production of Alfons Mucha

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na tři hlavní témata - litografii, secesi a reklamní tvorbu a propagaci. V části věnované litografii jsou popsány počátky této techniky a její rozšíření v Čechách. V části o secesi je popsána charakteristika tohoto uměleckého směru, a to zejména v architektuře, užitém umění, sochařství a malířství. Dále je zde také popsána reklamní tvorba a propagace, od prvních tiskových technik až po vynález plakátovacích sloupů. Poslední část práce se věnuje životu a dílu významného secesního umělce Alfonse Muchy, jehož tvorba se výrazně podílela na vývoji reklamní tvorby a propagace.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on three main topics - lithography, Art Nouveau and advertising design and promotion. The section on lithography describes the origins of this technique and its spread in Bohemia. The section on Art Nouveau describes the characteristics of this artistic movement, especially in architecture, applied arts, sculpture and painting. It also describes advertising creation and promotion, from the first printing techniques to the invention of poster poles. The last part of the thesis is devoted to the life and work of the important Art Nouveau artist Alfons Mucha, whose work contributed significantly to the development of advertising design and promotion.
