Construction Project Risk Analysis using Monte Carlo Simulation

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce je analýza rizik s dopadem na projektový plán a rozpočet v kontextu realizace stavební zakázky. První část je věnována používané terminologii a obsahovému výkladu příslušných pojmů. Je zde uvedené klíčové definice v rámci rizikového managementu, zejména z hlediska stavebnictví. Dále jsou zmíněny významné fáze řízení rizik a uvádí se metody jejich analýzy a identifikace. Pak poslední podkapitola se zabývá analýzou cenových a časových rizik v rámci projektu. Druhá, praktická část, je věnovaná analýze rizik stavebního projektu s využitím metody Monte Carlo, je zde završena celá problematika rizika na příkladu konkrétní stavební firmy a konkrétní stavební zakázky.

Abstract:

The subject of the diploma thesis is cost and shedule risk analysis in the context of realization of the construction contract. The first part outlines all the necessary terminology along with the content interpretation of the relevant terms. In the first subchapters, key definitions in the risk management framework, including construction industry, are introduced. Later, author depicts significant phases of risk management and the methods of their analysis and identification Then the last subchapter deals with the analysis of cost and schedule risks within the project. The second, practical part is devoted to the risk analysis of the construction project using the Monte Carlo method. In this chapter, author briefly introduces the firm, the project and the context of the analysis which is then followed by actual calculations along with results interpretation.
