Women´s urinary incontinence and its influence on quality of life

Abstract:

Hlavním tématem bakalářské práce je problematika močové inkontinence u žen a její vliv na kvalitu života. Cílem práce je posoudit vliv močové inkontinence na kvalitu života žen. Práce je rozčleněná na část teoretickou a na část výzkumnou. Teoretická část se zabývá problematikou močové inkontinence, ta je zaměřená na anatomii a fyziologii močových cest, klasifikaci, etiologii, diagnostiku, léčbu a prevenci močové inkontinence. Dále pojednává o kvalitě života inkontinentních žen. Je zde vymezen pojem kvalita života, kvalita života při močové inkontinenci, faktory ovlivňující kvalitu života, hodnocení kvality života a v neposlední řadě jaké pomůcky a ochranné prostředky jsou dostupné pro ženy trpící močovou inkontinencí. Empirickou část tvoří výzkum močové inkontinence. Oslovených bylo 89 respondentek ve věku od 30 let výše. Výzkum byl realizován pomocí metody dotazníku a nestandardizovaného rozhovoru. Práce poslouží ke zvýšené informovanosti o této problematice a ke zlepšení kvality života inkontinentních žen.

Abstract:

The main subject of this dissertation is the matter of women´s urinary incontinence and its influence on the quality of life. The aim of the dissertation is to assess the influence of urinary incontinence on the quality of women´s life. The dissertation is divided into a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part deals with the matter of urinary incontinence, particularly with anatomy and physiology of the urinary tract and with classification, etiology, diagnostics, treatment and prevention of urinary incontinence. Subsequently, the dissertation focuses on the quality of life of incontinent women and defines the quality of life, the quality of life with urinary incontinence, the factors influencing the quality of life, the assessment of the quality of life and finally, it informs about care and protective aids available to women suffering from urinary incontinence. The empirical part consists of the research on urinary incontinence. Altogether, 89 respondents, aged 30 yrs and more, were questioned. The research was realized by the means of a questionnaire and a non-standardized interview. The asset of the dissertation is to increase the level of knowledge about this matter and to improve the quality of life of incontinent women.
