Sino-Japanese Relations in 1929 - 1937

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o Čínsko-japonských vztazích v letech 1929-1937. Primárním cílem práce je zhodnocení faktorů, které v Japonsku vedly k nárůstu militarismu, což ve výsledku způsobilo invazi do pevninské Číny i bez jakéhokoliv souhlasu japonské vlády. Práce také reaguje na to, jakými prostředky se Čína této invazi pokusila čelit na poli diplomatickém i vojenském a zda byly mezi aktéry alespoň snahy o společné řešení krize, přestože nekontrolovatelnost Kwantungské armády jakákoliv jednání téměř vylučovala.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the Sino-Japanese relations in the years 1929-1937. The primary goal of the thesis is to evaluate the factors that caused rise of the militarism in Japan, which in the end caused an invasion to the mainland China even without any permission of the Japanese Government. The thesis also speaks about the Chinese reaction to aggression on the diplomatic field ant the battlefield and whether there were at least efforts among the actors to work together to resolve the crisis, despite the uncontrollability of the Kwantung army.
