Principles of communication with persons with hearing impairment and its specifics depending on the type of hearing impairment

Abstract:

Celá tato práce je věnovaná zásadám komunikace s osobami se sluchovým postižením. Práce je členěna do čtyř kapitol, z nichž jsou první tři kapitoly teoretické, poslední kapitola je věnovaná kvalitativnímu výzkumu. První kapitola teoretické části se věnuje sluchovému postižení, druhá kapitola se zaměřuje na komunikaci a poslední kapitola teoretické části seznamuje s komunikačními systémy osob se sluchovým postižením a zásadami při komunikaci s nimi. Výzkumná část práce se věnuje rozhovorům se zástupci skupin nedoslýchavých osob, Neslyšících a uživateli kochleárních implantátů. Cílem této práce je poskytnout ucelené informace o této problematice a zjistit, zda jsou popsané zásady využívané v běžném životě. Výzkum poukázal na nedostatečné vědomosti těchto zásad a na potřebu vzdělání v této oblasti. Doufáme, že tato práce a její obsah poskytují informace, které přispějí k pochopení důležitosti zásad komunikace s osobami se sluchovým postižením.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the principles of communication with persons with hearing impairment. The content of the thesis is divided in four chapters, of which the first three are theoretical and the last chapter focuses on the quantitative research. The first theoretical chapter deals with the hearing impairment, the second chapter focuses on the communication and the third theoretical chapter describes communication systems of persons with hearing impairment and the principles of communication with them. The entire research chapter contains interviews with hard of hearing persons, deaf persons and persons with cochlear implants. The main goal of the thesis is to provide compact information about this issue and to find out whether the principles of communication are used in praxis. The research has highlighted the insufficient knowledge of these principles and the importance of education in this area. We hope that this thesis and its content provide information that will contribute to the understanding of the importance of the principles of communication with hearing impaired persons.
