Tématem této diplomové práce je uplatnění paliativní péče v oblasti intenzivní medicíny. Práce se skládá z části teoretické a z části praktické. Teoretická část obsahuje základní informace o oborech intenzivní medicína a paliativní medicína a seznámení s problematikou přechodu od intenzivní léčby k léčbě paliativní u pacientů v terminálním stavu, kteří nejsou schopni vyjádřit svoji vůli.
