Information as a cultural phenomenon

Abstract:

Cíle této práce je seznámení čtenáře se základními charakteristiky informace a přiblížit mu vliv informace na kulturu a civilizace a poukázat na to, jak jednotlivé kultury a civilizace mohou informace chápat různě. Práce je zaměřena na ontologie informace v různých civilizacích, kde je jako hlavní znak civilizace zvoleno náboženství, které hraje významnou roli uvnitř každé civilizace. Ke splnění vytyčených cílů je využit dotazník, který má zjistit možné podobnosti pohledů na informace u zkoumaných civilizací.

Abstract:

Goals of this work are to introduce readers with basic characteristics of information and point on influences of information on culture and civilization and show how different cultures and civilizations might have different point of view on information. This work is focused on information ontology where religion is chosen as the main symbol of civilization in which it plays very important role. A questionnaire is used to reach defined goals and to find out similarities among examined civilizations.
