Abstract:

Předložená studie se zabývá problematikou teoretického uchopení écriture féminine, experimentálního literárního konceptu spojeného především s literární teoretičkou a spisovatelkou Hélène Cixous. Metodologicky staví na přístupech, které se zabývají celostně korpusem teoretických, beletristických i dramatických textů Cixous vzniklým v průběhu let, což je v českém literárněvědném prostředí ojedinělé. Do stále probíhající diskuze o écriture féminine pak studie přispívá několika novými náhledy na koncept: zaprvé, klade důraz na nutnost chápat „psaní (z) těla“ také jako tvůrčí metodu, postup vlastní écriture féminine, který má své specifické syžetové projevy (např. otevřenost kompozice, znaky pretextu (zdánlivě nehotového textu) nebo oscilaci mezi básnickým jazykem a stylizací na způsob mluveného projevu ad.); zadruhé, vrací se k otázce možných konceptuálních průniků mezi écriture féminine a polyfonním románem v pojetí Michaila Bachtina a poukazuje na to, že écriture féminine dokáže principy vlastní polyfonnímu románu realizovat aktualizovaně, postupy odpovídajícími vývoji literatury. Součástí studie je dále kapitola věnovaná diskuzi výše uvedeného v souvislosti s romány česky píšící Daniely Hodrové, švédsky píšící Sary Stridsberg a anglicky píšící Daisy Johnson – studie tedy mj. nastiňuje, jakým způsobem se écriture féminine jako literární koncept stále vyvíjí.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the problematics of theoretical characterization of écriture féminine, an experimental literary concept associated mainly with the literary scholar and writer Hélène Cixous. Methodologically, the study builds on approaches dealing holistically with the corpus of Cixous’s theoretical, fictional, and dramatic texts published over the years since 1975. It contributes to the ongoing discussion about the concept with several new insights. First, it emphasizes the necessity of conceptualizing “writing (from) the body” also as a creative method, a practice typical to écriture féminine, leading to its specific manifestations both in structure and stylistics: among others, the paper discusses open composition, signs of pretext – seemingly unfinished text – or oscillation between poetic language and stylization in the manner of spoken speech. Secondly, the study returns to the question of possible conceptual crossroads between écriture féminine and the polyphonic novel as described by Mikhail Bakhtin and points out that écriture féminine is able to implement the principles essential to the Bakhtinian polyphonic novel in an updated way corresponding to the development of literature. The study also includes a chapter devoted to discussing all the above in relation to novels written by three contemporary authors, namely the Czech writer Daniela Hodrová, the Swedish writer Sara Stridsberg, and the British writer Daisy Johnson, outlining how écriture féminine is still evolving as a literary concept.
