Motivation and Stimulation in specific Non-Governmental organization from the Volunteer's Perspective

Abstract:

Diplomová práce zkoumá motivaci a stimulaci dobrovolníků ve vybrané nestátní neziskové organizaci. Cílem práce je zjistit, zda a jak stimuluje organizace motivaci dobrovolníků a jak situaci dobrovolníci hodnotí. V teoretické části jsou rozpracovány základní teoretické koncepty týkající se fenoménu dobrovolnictví, managementu dobrovolnictví a především motivace a stimulace dobrovolníků v organizaci. Pro sběr dat byly provedeny kvalitativní rozhovory a obsahová analýza dokumentů. Ve výzkumné části jsou představena a interpretována zjištění týkající se pohledu dobrovolníků na dobrovolnictví, popisu motivů a bariér činnosti jednotlivých dobrovolníků a jejich hodnocení stimulačních faktorů používaných v organizaci. V závěru jsou uvedena doporučení pro vybranou organizaci a pro další výzkum.

Abstract:

The Master’s thesis explores topic of motivation and stimulation in specific non-governmental organization. The aim of the thesis is to find out whether and how the organization stimulates volunteers' motivation and how do volunteers evaluate the process. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the basic concepts regarding fenomen of volunteering, voluteer management, and most importantly the stratiegies of motivation and stimulation of volunteers in the organization are described. The qualitative interviews and content analysis were conducted in order to collect data. The analytic part introduces and interprets results of research concerning volunteers' opinion about volunteering, description of motives and barriers of volunteers' participation, and their evaluation of the stimulus used in the organization. In conclusion recommendation for chosen organization and for future research is provided.
