Anotace: The target of this thesis is to describe and prove the importance of project management, especially the impact of risk management processes within a company. The work is separated into two main parts. The first part identifies the project management practices, including the project management lifecycle, projects complexity, and risk management proposed with various literature. As the focus of the thesis is on telecommunication industry, all the research is performed on the project management and related risks in this specific industry. The goal of the project management in any project should be reaching a high success rate through the main parameters considered along this thesis. The second part proposes the research methods used for identifying and analyzing the project risk management process at Huawei Technologies Afghanistan Co. Ltd. Ten project managers were interviewed, and eight projects were selected for this research. Based on the risk identification and risk management methods used by the company, adequate recommendations are suggested by considering the literature review and Author’s experience, in order to increase the success rate for the projects' delivery.
