Icons of Czech graffiti scene and contemporary artistic creation in other art sectors

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Ikony české graffiti scény a jejich současná tvorba v jiných uměleckých odvětvích“ se snaží popsat tvorbu českých graffiti tvůrců, kteří překročili hranice této subkultury a nyní působí na poli oficiálního umění. Pokládá si otázky, zda je jejich současná tvorba ovlivněna graffiti minulostí a jak je příjmána touto subkulturou. Stručně pojednává o historii českého graffiti, jeho vzniku, proměnách a vývoji. Práce je zaměřena především na výrazné osobnosti, které jsou respektovanými ikonami nejen v graffiti. Bakalářská práce „Ikony české graffiti scény a jejich současná tvorba v jiných uměleckých odvětvích“ se pokouší dát odpověď, zda se tvorba těchto „ex-sprejerů“ odvíjí od jejich pouliční zkušenosti.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis "Icons of Czech graffiti scene and present their work in other branches of art" is trying to describe the work of Czech graffiti artists who crossed the genre. It considers the question whether is their contemporary work influenced by graffiti and how is received subculture. It discusses the history of Czech graffiti, its origin, transformations and development. The work is mainly focused on major personalities who are respected not only in graffiti. Bachelor thesis "Icons of Czech graffiti scene and contemporary work of art in other sectors" attempts to answer whether the creation of these "ex-graffiti" derives from their street experience.
