Information and Communication technologies in seniors lives

Abstract:

Má bakalářská práce se věnuje tématu Digitální dovednosti seniorů v oblasti informačních a komunikačních technologií. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části První část je teoretická a druhá aplikační. Cílem teoretické část práce je popsat digitální dovednosti seniorů při práci s informačními a komunikačními technologiemi se zaměřením na počítač, internet a smartphone. Kromě cíle se v teoretické části zaměřím na vymezení základních pojmů jako jsou informační a komunikační technologie nebo pojem senior. Krátce se také budu věnovat postojům senior k informačním a komunikačním technologiím a také využívání těchto technologií v pobytových službách pro seniory. Následně se zaměřím už přímo na dovednosti s pojené s používáním počítače, internetu a smartphonu. V další části popisuji překážky, vzdělávání v oblasti informačních a komunikačních technologií a přínosy těchto technologií pro seniory. V aplikační části se zaměřím na návrh kvantitativního výzkumu. K realizaci tohoto výzkumu navrhnu dotazník, který bude zjišťovat digitální dovednosti seniorů v oblasti informačních a komunikačních technologií, kteří žijí v domovech pro seniory.

Abstract:

My bachelor thesis deals with the topic Digital skills of seniors in the field of information and communication technologies. The thesis is divided into two parts: the first part is theoretical and the second is application. The aim of the theoretical part of the thesis is to describe the digital skills of seniors when working with information and communication technologies with a focus on computer, internet and smartphone. In addition to the goal, the theoretical part will focus on defining basic terms such as information and communication technologies or the concept of senior. I will also briefly discuss seniors' attitudes to information and communication technologies and the use of these technologies in residential services for seniors. Then I will focus directly on the skills associated with the use of computer, Internet and smartphone. In the next section, I describe the obstacles, ICT education and the benefits of these technologies for seniors. In the application part, I will focus on the design of quantitative research. To carry out this research, I will design a questionnaire that will survey the digital skills of seniors in the field of information and communication technologies who live in homes for the elderly.
