Tests of electric vehicles on a roller dynamometer

Abstract:

Diplomová práce sumarizuje poznatky aplikace metodik zkoušení na válcovém dynamometru při zkouškách pohonů elektromobilů. V úvodní části práce je popsána obvyklá konstrukce elektrického pohonu včetně akumulátoru a jeho nezbytného příslušenství. Konstrukční řešení jsou uvedena na hybridních a následně pouze elektricky poháněných vozidlech. Jisté intermezzo v technických pasážích textu tvoří výtah legislativních předpisů, které jsou definovány homologacemi. Dominantní, co do rozsahu i hloubky poznání, je kapitola věnující se experiment. Na základě zkoušení byly metodiky zkoušek elektromobilů validovány. K tomuto účelu jsem vyvinul software, který válcovému dynamometru MENDELU poskytoval data z palubní diagnostiky. Výsledky provedených měření na vozidle Škoda Enyaq ukazují poměrně malé nuance pro vlastní proces zkoušení vůči vozidlům se spalovacím motorem, je však třeba přistupovat obezřetně k nastavení zkoušky zejména z pohledu sil v nulové či nízké rychlosti.

Abstract:

The thesis summarizes the findings of applying testing methodologies on a chassis dynamometer during tests of electric vehicle drives. The introductory section describes the typical construction of an electric drive, including the battery and its essential accessories. Design solutions are presented on hybrid and subsequently purely electrically driven vehicles. A certain interlude in the technical passages of the text consists of excerpts from legislative regulations defined by homologations. Dominating in terms of scope and depth of knowledge is the chapter devoted to experimentation. Based on the tests, the methodologies for testing electric vehicles were validated. For this purpose, I developed software that provided data from vehicle onboard diagnostics to the MENDELU chassis dynamometer. The results of the measurements on the Škoda Enyaq vehicle show relatively minor nuances in the testing process compared to vehicles with internal combustion engines, but it is necessary to approach the test setup cautiously, especially in terms of forces at zero or low speeds.
