Self-study: the story of the origin of a geography teacher’s identity

Anotácia:

Diplomová práce pojednává o identitě a potřebách začínající studující učitelky zeměpisu a o posunu identity během pěti let studia, vše vztaženo přímo k osobě autorky práce. Cíl práce byl identifikovat specifika autorčiny identity jakožto začínající učitelky zeměpisu. Teoretická části práce je věnována tématům učitel, studium učitelství, sociální, profesní a oborová identita nebo specifikům identity učitele zeměpisu. V empirické části práce je zodpovídána hlavní výzkumná otázka „Jaké jsou specifika autorčiny identity začínající učitelky zeměpisu?“ pomocí výzkumného designu self-study, metod deníku výzkumníka a retrospektivní introspekce. Ve výsledcích práce je předkládán příběh autorky zaměřený na její identitu s důrazem na identitu profesní a oborovou, dále důležité změny a milníky, které její identitu formovaly a měnily. Také je zde popsán vliv sdruženého (dvouoborového) studia na její identitu a osobu obecně.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis discusses the identity and needs of a beginning geography teacher and about the shift of identity during five years of study, all directly related to the author of the thesis. The aim of the thesis was to identify the specifics of the author's identity as a beginning geography teacher. The theoretical part is devoted to the topics of teacher, study of teaching, social, professional and teacher subject identity or the specifics of the identity of a geography teacher. The empirical part of the thesis answers the main research question "What are the specifics of the author's identity as a beginning geography teacher?", using the self-study research design, methods reflective diary and retrospective introspection. The results of the thesis present the author's story focused on her identity with emphasis on professional and subject identity, important changes and milestones that shaped and changed her identity, and also describes the influence of double-subject study on her identity and person in general.
