Toxicity of radiotherapy for prostate cancer

Abstract:

V praktické části bakalářské práce s názvem „Toxicita radioterapie karcinomu prostaty“ se zabýváme porovnáním výsledků výskytu akutní a chronické toxicity po ozařování prostaty. Nežádoucí změny jsou hodnoceny po ozařování technikou RapidArc za použití dvou frakcionačních režimů, a to hypofrakcionované akcelerované radioterapie a konvenční frakcionace. U režimu hypofrakciované akcelerované radioterapie máme dvě modifikace bezpečnostního lemu. Dále se zabýváme také výskytem biochemické recidivy. Veškeré údaje byly získány z databáze pacientů Masarykova onkologického ústavu v Brně.

Abstract:

In the practical part of the bachelor's thesis entitled "Toxicity of radiotherapy for prostate cancer" we deal with the comparison of the results of acute and chronic toxicity after irradiation of the prostate. Side effects are assessed after irradiation with the RapidArc technique using two fractionation regimens, hypofractionated accelerated radiotherapy and conventional fractionation. In the mode of hypofraction accelerated radiotherapy, we have two modifications of the safety hem. We also deal with the occurrence of biochemical recurrence. All data were obtained from the patient database of the Masaryk Institute of Oncology in Brno.
