Trichinelóza je i v dnešní době závažným problémem u zvířat ovlivňujícím trh s masem. I když její prevalence v synantropním cyklu stále klesá, nepodařilo se tohoto parazita dosud úplně eradikovat. Jednou z hlavních příčin nemožnosti eradikace je cirkulace trichinel v sylvatickém cyklu. Abstract:
Even today, trichinellosis is still a serious problem in livestock and it affects the meat market. Even though its prevalence in the synanthropic cycle continuously decreases, the efforts to completely eradicate this parasite have not been successful yet.
