The teritorial focus of the new export strategy of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou teritoriálního zaměření nové exportní strategie České republiky. Pro účely této práce byly vybrány dvě modelové země - Brazílie a Argentina, coby představitelé prioritních a zájmových zemí českého exportu. Práce se skládá ze čtyř kapitol. V první kapitole je vysvětlen význam exportu v malé otevřené ekonomice. K tomuto účelu je použito ukazatelů míry a tvaru otevřenosti české ekonomiky. Druhá kapitola se zabývá proexportní politikou státu, zaměřuje se především na její institucionální rámec a na Exportní strategii ČR na období 2012-2020 jakožto hlavní dokument, na základě kterého je proexportní politika realizovaná. Třetí kapitola se věnuje Brazílii. Jsou zde uvedeny základní makroekonomické ukazatele, teritoriální a komoditní struktura importu. Na základě těchto údajů jsou dále stanoveny perspektivní obory pro český vývoz. V závěru kapitoly jsou pak všechny informace shrnuty pomocí SWOT analýzy. Čtvrtá kapitola kopíruje strukturu třetí kapitoly, ovšem se zaměřením na Argentinu.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the teritorial focus of the new export strategy of the Czech Republic. For the purposes of this study two countries were selected to be analyzed - Brazil and Argentina, as representatives of both the priority countries and the countries of interest. The work is divided into four parts. In the first part, the importance of exports in the small open economies such as the Czech Republic is explained using the indicators of the degree and shape of openness. The second part deals with the export promotion policy, focusing primarly on its institutional background and Export Strategy of the Czech Republic 2012-2020. The third chapter is dedicated to Brazil, mainly to its macroeconomic indicators as well as to the territorial and commodity structure of imports. Taking into account the data collected, promising areas for export are identified. At the end of this chapter, SWOT analysis summarizing all information can be found. The forth chapter analogically follows the structure of the third part but focusing on Argentina.
