The process of creating the European social model in the employment policy: example of selected Member States of EU

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá problematikou pravděpodobného vzniku Evropského sociálního modelu (ESM), který je nejprve konceptualizován. Pro případové studie jsou vybrány členské státy, jež reprezentují jednotlivé sociální modely v rámci Evropské unie. Na těchto případech demonstrujeme přibližování se k ESM. V poslední části jsou srovnány změny učiněné jednotlivými státy a jejich výsledky jsou zobecněny na úroveň sociálních modelů. Celkově lze konstatovat, že se státy k ESM do jisté míry přibližují a dochází tak k tvorbě jednotného přístupu v politice zaměstnanosti.

Abstract:

The thesis analyses the issue of possible creation of the European social model (ESM) which is firstly conceptualized. Member states representing the social models present in the EU are chosen for the case studies. In the framework of these cases we demonstrate the convergence towards ESM. In the last part we compare the changes. In the last part we compare changes made by countries and we generalize their results on the level of social models. In the end we state that the countries are converging and this leads to the formation of a unified approach in employment policy.
