Ethics in film fairy tales

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Etika ve filmových pohádkách“ se zabývá reprezentací etických kategorií a pojmů v českých filmových pohádkách a jejími změnami. První kapitola práce je zaměřena na oblast etiky a morálky. Charakterizuje etickou vědu, zkoumá její kontinuitu s estetikou, pohádkou a člověkem a představuje základní etické pojmy jako dobro a zlo. Druhá část práce je zaměřena na pohádku. Popisuje tento specifický žánr a jeho historii a filmové zpracování, reflektuje jeho souvislost se společností, etikou. Estetika pohádky je zde vymezena pomocí pojmu kognitivismus. Pohádka je zde představena jako nositel kognitivní funkce, důležitého etického poznání. Třetí kapitola je věnovaná postavě čerta, která je stěžejním kritériem analýzy pohádek. Čert, který v pohádkách vystupuje jako personifikace zla, funguje jako katalyzátor projevů lidské povahy. Tato část práce definuje čerta, vysvětluje jeho roli ve filmové pohádce a vliv na děj a etické působení v příběhu. Čtvrtá část práce je praktická, věnuje se analýze vybraných českých filmových pohádek z hlediska reprezentace etických kategorií, kterými jsou: spravedlnost, chamtivost, lež a podvod, čest a poctivost. Závěr diplomové práce uvádí souhrn výsledků analýzy. Upozorňuje na změny v etickém působení českých filmových pohádek, které se v posledních 60 letech velmi transformovaly a na změny prezentace postavy čerta.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis „Ethics in film fairy tales“ deals with the representation of ethical categories and concepts in the Czech film fairy tales and its amendments. The first chapter is focused on the ethics and morality. It characterizes ethical science, examines its continuity with aesthetics, fairy tales and a man and a fundamental ethical concepts such as good and evil. The second part focuses on the fairy tale. It describes the specific genre of the fairy tale and its history and film processing, reflects its relationship with the society and the ethics. The aesthetics of the fairy tale is defined here by using the concept of cognitivism . The fairy tale is presented here as a bringer of cognitive function, an important ethical knowledge. The third chapter is devoted to the figure of the devil, which is a major criterion for the analysis of fairy tales. The devil acts as a fairy personification of evil and a catalyst expressions of human nature in the fairy tales. This part defines the devil, explains his role in the film tale and affect the storyline and ethical action in the story. The fourth part is a practical, dedicated to the analysis of selected Czech film fairy tales in terms of representation of ethical categories, which are: justice, greed, lie and deception, honor and honesty. The final section summarizes the results of the analysis. It indicates a change in the ethical action of Czech fairy tales, which transformed in the last 60 years, and some changes in the prezentation of devil.
