Cryptographic systems based on a group decomposition

Abstract:

In this thesis we attempted to generalize a cipher that was put forward in a high profile research project in the 1950s and then attempted cryptanalysis on that particular cipher. And similar to the researchers at that time, we studied the curious groups that the structure of the cipher gave rise to which are ABA-groups, by looking for criteria for their existence and obtaining concrete examples of such groups by computer calculations using GAP.

Abstract:

Cílem práce je zobecnit šifru, která byla představena v rámci výzkumného projektu v 50. letech 20. století, a poté se pokusit o kryptoanalýzu této konkrétní šifry. Podobně jako tehdejší badatelé bude práce zaměřena na prostudování zajímavých grup, které šifře napomohli vzniknout, tzn. ABA-grupy. Také budou upřesněny kritéria existence ABA-grup a s pomocí počítačových výpočtů v GAP se vytvoří konkrétní příklady takových grup.
