Modern Application of Internal Audit in a Company Practice

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na moderní aplikaci interního auditu v podnikové praxi. Za úlohu interního auditu lze označit zvyšování efektivnosti a snahu o tvorbu přidané hodnoty. Uplatnění interního auditu neustále narůstá, a to ve spojitosti se snahou o vylepšování všech procesů napříč společností. Jelikož je tvorba přidané hodnoty úzce propojena s podnikovým prostředím, je cílem této diplomové práce na základě literární rešerše oborových teorií provedení interního auditu, který ověřuje konkrétní aktivity vybraného podniku a nabízí praktickou nápravu odhalených zjištění. Za účelem úspěšného provedení auditního šetření jsou v rámci diplomové práce využity metody terénního výzkumu a řízených rozhovorů. Výsledkem práce jsou jednotlivá zjištění a doporučení, která by měla vést k přesnější identifikaci potenciálních rizik, případně pak k jejich odstranění. Uskutečněné auditní šetření dokazuje nezanedbatelný přínos interního auditu pro oblast moderního řízení podniku.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the modern application of the internal audit in a business practice. The role of the internal audit is to increase effectiveness and attempt to create added value. Applications of internal audits are constantly expanding with regard to efforts to improve all processes within a company. Since the creation of added value is closely linked with the corporate environment, the aim of this diploma thesis is to perform an internal audit, based on literary research of theories in the field, which verifies the specific activities of the selected business and offers practical measures for the detected findings. For the purpose of successfully performing the audit, the scope of the diploma thesis uses field research and controlled interviews. The results of the work are individual findings and recommendations, which should lead to accurately identifying potential risks and then possibly eliminating them. The implemented audit proves the significant added value that the internal audit brings to the field of modern business management.
