Vladimir Solovyov’s Aesthetics

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Estetika Vladimíra Solovjova“ pojednává o teosofickém systému tohoto myslitele, právě s důrazem na jeho teorii krásna. Jejím dalším úkolem je nastínit filosofické a estetické vlivy na tuto teorii. Kvůli složitosti a komplexnosti Solovjovova systému práce rozebírá jeho na pravoslaví a mystice založenou teologii a filosofii, která reflektuje poslední vývoj v západním racionalistickém myšlení. Ukazuje Solovjovův systém jako kompaktní celek směřují k všejednotě Absolutna, které splývá s pojmem Boha. Estetiku chápe jako součást tohoto systému a podrobně nahlíží do projevů krásy v přírodě a u člověka se stálým zřetelem na její ideální podstatu a její reálné projevy. Popisuje i vlivy na tuto estetiku, které, vyjma pravoslaví a mystiky, spočívají v platonismu, který Solovjov zčásti absorbuje do svého systému jak z racionalistické filosofie, hlavně z Schellinga, tak z Platóna samotného.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis titled “Vladimir Solovyov's Aesthetics” deals with the theosophical system of this thinker with the emphasis on his theory of beautiful. Its further aim is to outline the philosophical as well as the aesthetic influences on this theory. Due to the complexity of Solovyov's system the thesis analyses his theory based on the Orthodox Church, theology and philosophy, which reflects recent developments in the Western rationalist thought. It shows Solovyov's system as a compact complex oriented towards the encompassing unity of the Absloluteness which blends with the concept of God. He understands Aesthetics as a part of this system and looks into the displays of beauty in nature and in man with constant respect to its ideal substance and the real displays. Furthermore, it describes the influences on this Aesthetics, which (except the Orthodox Church and mysticism) lies in the Platonism that Solovyov partially absorbs to his system from both rationalist philosophy (mainly from Schelling) and Plato himself.
