Research of birds in selected biocorridors in Czechia

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na výzkum ptáků v biokoridorech Podolí, Vracov, Kuželov a Matějov. Každý z biokoridorů se nachází v částečně odlišném prostředí. Hlavní cíle práce byly identifikace ptáků v zájmových biokoridorech a zaznamenání jejich hnízdění. Pozornost byla věnována i určení vztahu diverzity ptáků k prostorovým parametrům biokoridorů, jejich stáří a okolnímu prostředí. Pro terénní výzkum ptáků byla využita upravená metodika Jednotného programu sčítání ptáků v ČR. Celkově bylo ve zkoumaných biokoridorech zaznamenáno 56 druhů ptáků. Z tohoto počtu je 14 druhů uvedeno v Červeném seznamu ptáků České republiky. Nejvíce druhů ptáků bylo zjištěno v biokoridoru Kuželov – 39 druhů. Ve Vracově bylo zaznamenáno 34 druhů, v Podolí 30 druhů a v Matějově 23 druhů. Nejvíce podobná byla druhová skladba ptáků v biokoridorech Kuželov a Vracov. V biokoridoru Kuželov bylo identifikováno i nejvíce lesních druhů ptáků. V biokoridorech bylo nalezeno 29 hnízd. Podobnost ve druhové skladbě ptáků vzhledem k nejbližšímu lesu nejvýrazněji klesala s rostoucí vzdáleností od lesa v biokoridoru Vracov. V biokoridoru Kuželov bylo druhové složení ptáků ovlivněno lesy na obou okrajích biokoridoru. Výsledky práce značí, že biokoridory jsou atraktivní pro mnoho druhů ptáků.

Abstract:

This master thesis is focused on the research of the variety of birds in the biocorridors Podolí, Vracov, Kuželov and Matějov. Partly different landscapes characterize each of these biocorridors. The main targets of this work are the identification of birds of these biocorridors and the records of their nesting. The attention was also paid to the determination of the relation between the diversity of birds and the spatial parameters of these biocorridors, their age and their surroundings. The modification of the United bird cenzus program in the Czech Republic was used. As a result, 56 species of birds were registered in the biocorridors. Fourteen of them are listed in the Red list of birds of the Czech Republic. The most species of birds were found in the biocorridor Kuželov – 39 species. As a result, 34 species were registered in Vracov, 30 species in Podolí and 23 species in Matějov. Kuželov and Vracov revealed the most similar composition of the species. The most forest species of birds were identified in Kuželov. As a result, 29 nests were found in the biocorridors. The similarity of the species composition of birds with respect to the nearest forest declined the most distinctively with the increasing distance from the forest in Vracov. The species composition of birds in Kuželov was influenced by the forests at the opposite edges of the biocorridor. The results of this thesis indicate that biocorridors are attractive for many species of birds.
