Produktivita je spolupôsobením viacerých faktorov: zdokonaľovania techniky a technologického procesu, zdokonaľovaním organizácie a riadenia výroby, zefektívnenie ľudskej práce. Vytvára akúsi súhru, ktorá odráža, ako účinne sú v podniku využívané zdroje pre tvorbu výstupov. Cieľom je dosiahnuť maximalizáciu efektívnosti.
