Structure and production potential of birch-dominated successional stands in k.u. Libavá

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá popisem struktury a produkčního potenciálu sukcesních porostů s převahou břízy v katastrálním území Libavá. Studovaná oblast se nachází v přírodní lesní oblasti č. 29 – Nízký Jeseník. Cílem práce je popsání struktury a navrhnout pěstební postupy v zájmových porostech první generace lesa na majetku Obce Město Libavá. Zájmové porosty tvoří komplex asi 90 ha první generace lesa po vojenském využívání – v současnosti je jejich střední věk asi 40 let a jsou tvořeny převážně břízou, osikou a modřínem. Dále pak zjistit pochůzkou stav porostu a konfrontovat jej s LHP. Ve vybraných porostních částech reprezentujících větší porostní celky založit trvalé plochy a na nich provést celoplošnou inventarizaci (druh, počet, DBH, výška dřevin). Velikost a počet ploch je dána variabilitou porostu. Pro vytyčené plochy zjistit základní porostní charakteristiky a naznačit výchovný zásah, stromy zasluhující trvalou porostní péči, postup vnosu dlouhověkých dřevin do porostu.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the description of the structure and production potential of successional stands with birch predominance in the cadastral area of Libavá. The study area is located in the natural forest area No. 29 - Nízký Jeseník. The aim of the work is to describe the structure and to propose cultivation practices in the first generation forest stands of interest on the property of the Municipality of Libavá. The stands of interest consist of a complex of about 90 ha of first generation forest after military exploitation - currently their mean age is about 40 years and they are mainly birch, aspen and larch. Next, the condition of the stand was determined by a walk and confronted with the LHP. Establish permanent plots in selected parts of the stand representing larger stand units and carry out a full inventory (species, number, DBH, height of trees). The size and number of plots is determined by the variability of the stand. For the demarcated areas, determine the basic stand characteristics and indicate the educational intervention, the trees deserving permanent stand care, the procedure for introducing long-lived trees into the stand.
