The purpose of the thesis is to compare the retirement system in the Czech Republic, Federal Republic of Germany and Austria together with comparing the conditions and care of senior citizens in three retirement homes in these countries. Práce se zabývá porovnáním důchodových systémů v České republice, Spolkové republice Německo a Rakousku a zároveň srovnáním životních podmínek a péče o staré občany ve třech domovech pro seniory v těchto zemích.
