Flood Prevention of the Town of Strážnice

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na povodně a ochranu před nimi na území katastru města Strážnice a nejbližšího okolí, zkoumá jejich historii, dopady a zabývá se ochranou před nimi. Konkrétně se to týká Strážnického Pomoraví, Baťova kanálu a povodí Veličky. Nejdříve v teoretické části popisuji povodně z historického hlediska, jejich vznik a průběh, dále se zabývám zákony upravující krizové a povodňové plány. Práce dále mapuje ekonomickou analýzu ochrany před povodněmi. V praktické části této práce je popisováno území z fyzicko-geografického hlediska pro lepší pochopení souvislosti a vazeb v něm. Geologické a geomorfologické poměry, vegetace, uspořádaní říční sítě aj. Dále popisuje změny v korytech řek v zájmovém území, snaží se zmapovat současný stav protipovodňové ochrany města, povodňového plánu a navrhnout jejich zefektivnění.

Abstract:

This bachelor work focuses on floods and protection against them in the registr area of town Straznice and its nearest surroundings . The work examines the history of floods, their impact and deals with the protection against them.The areas of interest are Straznice Pomoravi, the Bata canal and the catchment area of river Velicka. First of all the theoretical part describes floods from the historical angle, their origin and mechanism. It also examines the laws that deal with crisis and flood plans. The work also monitors the economic analysis of protection against floods. In the practical part of the work I describe the region from the point of view of physical geography for a better understanding of connections and relationships in the area.Geological and geomorfological relations, vegetation, the arangements of the river grid etc. It also describes the changes in the riverbeds in the area of interest, it tries to chart the current condition of the floods protection of the town, the flood plan and makes suggestions as how to make them more effective.
