The object of this thesis is the chair of the Archbishop Maximian of Ravenna. The aim of this work was to further investigate the function of the chair in the context of Archbishop Maximian´s power politics and his emperor Justinian I. Objektom tejto diplomovej práce bola katedra arcibiskupa Maximiána z Ravenny, cieľom tejto práce bolo, bližšie preskúmať funkciu tejto katedry v súvislosti s mocenskou politikou arcibiskupa Maximiána a jeho cisára Justiniána I.
