Monitoring of analgesic effects of various types of physical therapy in the treatment of a particular disease

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá sledováním a hodnocením analgetického účinku elektroterapie v léčbě vertebrogenního kořenového syndromu bederní páteře. Popisuje obecnou charakteristiku bolesti, její druhy a metody hodnocení. Dále jsou v práci popsány různé druhy fyzikální terapie s analgetickým účinkem. V léčbě vertebrogenních kořenových syndromů byly aplikovány TENS, Träbertovy proudy a interferenční proudy. Analgetický efekt elektroterapie byl sledován jak v krátkodobém aspektu, tak i v aspektu dlouhodobém. K hodnocení jsou využité různé škály a dotazníky bolesti. Pro hodnocení intenzity bolesti byla zvolena škála NRS a pro hodnocení kvality byl využit dotazník McGillovy univerzity, kterým bylo sledováno zastoupení senzoricko-diskriminační a emoční složky bolesti. Z výsledků je patrné, že došlo ke snížení bolesti u všech pacientů a u některých bolest vymizela úplně.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with monitoring and evaluation of the analgesic effect of electrotherapy in the treatment of vertebrogenic radicular pain syndrome. It describes the general characteristics of pain, its types and methods of evaluation. In addition, various types of physical therapy with analgesic effect are described in the work. TENS, Träbert currents and interference currents have been applied in the treatment of vertebrogenic radicular pain syndromes. The analgesic effect of electrotherapy was observed both in the short-term aspect and in the long-term aspect. Various ranges and pain questionnaires are used for evaluation. The NRS scale was chosen to assess the intensity of pain, and a McGill University questionnaire was used to monitor the representation of sensory-discriminatory and emotional pain components. The results show that there was a decrease in pain in all patients and in some the pain disappeared completely.
