Foundations and Endowment Funds in the Region NUTS II Severozápad

Abstract:

Po politických změnách v naší zemi, které nastaly po roce 1989, se předpokládalo, že dojde k masovému rozvoji spolkové činnosti. Tyto aktivity byly na vrcholu v období před druhou světovou válkou, totalitní režimy občanské společnosti nepřály. Očekávání se však nesplnilo, angažovanost lidí ve spolcích a podobných organizacích předválečného typu není příliš veliká. Na druhou stranu zde vzniká moderní systém nevládních neziskových organizací, který odpovídá současným trendům v Evropě. V tomto duchu byly vytvořeny legislativní normy, které řeší cíle, strukturu a hospodaření těchto organizací. Specifickou roli mezi NNO mají nadace a nadační fondy. Jejich role v řadě oblastí života společnosti zcela neodmyslitelná (sociální oblast, vzdělávání, péče o kulturní dědictví atd.). Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na působení nadací a nadačních fondů v regionu soudržnosti NUTS 2 Severozápad, to znamená na území Ústeckého a Karlovarského kraje. Pozornost je věnována zaměření těchto organizací, Autor zde používá též komparační metody při srovnání regionálního zastoupení.

Abstract:

After the political changes in our country that occurred after 1989, it was assumed that there is a mass development of federal activities. These activities were on the top in the period before the Second World War, totalitarian regimes didn’t want civilvil society. The expectations were not fulfilled, however, involvement of people in societies and similar organizations prewar type is not so great. On the other hand, here arises a modern system of NGOs, which corresponds to current trends in Europe. In this spirit were created by legislative standards that address the objectives, structure and management of these organizations. The specific role of the NGOs are the foundation and endowment funds. Their role in many spheres of social life is completely inseparable (social welfare, education, preservation of cultural heritage, etc.). This thesis focused on activities of foundations and endowment funds in the region NUTS 2 Northwest, that means in the Usti and Karlovy Vary regions. Attention is paid to the focus of these organizations, author also used comparative methods to compare regional representation.
