The thesis provides a theoretical and methodological approaches for the European Union budget and related terms, such a budgetary policy, fiscal imbalance, revenues and expenditures of the budget. Diplomová práca poskytuje teoreticko - metodologické východiská k rozpočtu Európskej únie a s ním súvisiacich pojmov ako je rozpočtová politika, fiškálna nerovnováha, príjmová a výdavková strana rozpočtu. Analyzuje a hodnotí súčasný vzťah jednotlivých členských krajín k rozpočtu EÚ v podobe platieb do rozpočtu a čerpania finančných prostriedkov v oblasti spoločných politík EÚ.
