The Energy Policy of EU and Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tématem mé diplomové práce je Energetická politika v EU a ČR. Mým cílem bylo podrobně zanalyzovat energetickou politiku Evropské unie od roku 2000, prozkoumat problematiku dodávek energetických zdrojů a podívat se na pozici ČR v kontextu této problematiky. Za podstatný úkol své práce jsem pokládala nutnost odpovědět na otázku energetické výzvy a na otázky s ní související. Tím mám na mysli především liberalizaci společného vnitřního trhu s elektřinou, jadernou bezpečnost, ochranu životního prostředí a další závazky, které stojí nejen před členskými státy EU, ale i před celým světem. Dalšími výzvami pro Evropu, kterým se věnuji ve své práci, je i řešení závislosti na dodávkách surovin, rostoucí poptávka po energiích a přístup na světové trhy např. Číny, Indie a jiných zemí. Řešení současné situace vidím v širším využití a dodatečných investicích do alternativních zdrojů energie (vítr, biomasa, energie slunce a vodních elektráren) společně s bezpečným využitím jaderné energie a spolehlivými dodávkami surovin do EU.

Abstract:

The topic of my theses is the energy policy in the EU and in the Czech Republic. My goal was a detailed analysis of energy policy in the European Union since year 2000, to examine the issue of supply of energy resources and to look at the position of the Czech Republic in the context of this issue. As a significant objective of my work, I considered the need to answer the question of energy challenges and related questions. Particularly the questions of liberalization of the electricity market, nuclear safety, protection of environment and other liabilities, which apply not only to the EU Member States, but also the to whole world. Other challenges for Europe, which I address in my work, are the dependency on the supply of raw materials, rising energy demand and access to world markets such as China, India and other countries. Solution of the current situation I see in the broader use and the additional investments in the alternative energy sources (wind, biomass, solar energy and hydro power) together with the safe use of nuclear energy and reliable supply of raw materials to the EU.
