Expression of cytochromes P450 in brain and their role in metabolism of endogenous compounds

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na shrnutí stěžejních informací o cytochromech P450. Teoretická část je rozdělena do tří kapitol. První část se zaměřuje na vymezení pojmu cytochrom P450, dále se snaží objasnit vznik názvosloví a popsat strukturu s charakteristickými znaky. Druhá část poskytuje náhled na konkrétní cytochromy P450, které se nacházejí v mozku a snaží se je blíže specifikovat. Poslední část je věnována metabolismu. Cílem práce je získat základní informace o cytochromech P450, ukázat na jejich dělení a zdůraznit jejich stěžejní role zejména v oblasti mozkové tkáně.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on the summary of the key information about the cytochromes P450. The theoretical part is divided into the three chapters. The first part is focused on definition of cytochrome P450, tries to explain the emergence of terminology and describes the structure with the main characteristics. The second part provides insight into specific cytochromes P450, which are located in the brain and tries to specify them. The last part is dedicated to metabolism. The main aim of this work is obtain the main information about cytochromes, show their division and emhasizes their main role especially in brain area.
