Cílem práce je zhodnotit význam Herfortovy činnosti pro jeho současníky, analyzovat jeho práci a najít v ní konkrétní prvky, které se používají dodnes. The aim of this work is an estimation of Herforts activities for his contemproraries, analysing his wor and finding concrete points used up to now in it. The first part of my work is concerned with brief characteristics on the care of the mentaly ill in the world. I paied an attention to situation in over country i more detail.
