Use of cannabidiol in occupational therapy intervention in spastic upper limb paresis

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce v teoretické části dopodrobna rozebírá problematiku spastické parézy horní končetiny a s pomocí odborných článků a literatury popisuje její vznik, průběh v čase i možnosti její léčby. Zároveň se věnuje nejnovějším informacím o účincích kanabidiolu na lidský organismus a jeho možném využití při léčbě spasticity. Teoretické poznatky byly uplatněny při zpracování části praktické, jejímž cílem je formou kvalitativního výzkumu otestovat hypotézu, že transdermální aplikace kanabidiolu má myorelaxační účinky, které by se daly uplatnit v ergoterapeutické intervenci u spastické parézy horní končetiny.

Abstract:

In the theoretical part, this bachelor's thesis analyzes in detail the problem of spastic paresis of the upper limb and, with the help of professional articles and literature, describes its origin, course over time and the possibilities of its treatment. At the same time, it deals with the latest information about the effects of cannabidiol on the human organism and its possible use in the treatment of spasticity. The theoretical knowledge was applied in the processing of the practical part, the aim of which is to test the hypothesis that the transdermal application of cannabidiol has myorelaxant effects, which could be used in ergotherapeutic intervention for spastic paresis of the upper limb.
